Hang Massive LIVE plus Alexandra Gabriel
Sep 18 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
VERY SPECIAL LIVE PERFORMANCE
After last years sell out appearance in Bournemouth, we are deeply pleased to present this incredible duo again, this time in the more aptly equipped Shelley Theatre. This time they will be playing tracks from their new successfully crowd funded album ‘Luminous Emptiness’, released on September 8th, alongside favourite tracks from their much loved back catalogue.
Yes, you will be able to purchase the album at the event.
Hang Massive released their first video in 2011 ‘Once Again’ which spread like wildfire and has been seen more than 100 million times all around the world. This introduced the Hang, as an amazing new instrument. Played percussively it creates a beautiful steel pan-esque sound, giving a truly unique sonic experience, very conducive to deep relaxation and altered states.
In the summer of 2012 they released their first album ‘ Beats For Your Feet ‘ using a range of electronic music genres, blending ethereal, acoustic sounds and familiar upbeat style. This connected with their growing global audience.
Continually experimenting, the following years saw them release various Hang inspired music including;
- a four track electronic EP with Bristol based producer Bleecker
- a live album ‘ As It Is ‘
- an incredible full length album with ‘ The Many Rivers Ensemble ‘
- a first single release ‘ Marine Migration ‘ with UK producer J Rokka.
In 2016 ‘ Distant Light ‘ was released, the bands first studio album, which saw the Hang playing duo join forces with Victoria Grebezs and Morgan Davenport. The combination of talents brought a new vibe as the sound of the Hang was combined with tasty beats, lush sound design, live instruments, great song writing, amazing vocals and incredible production. This connected them with a wider audience.
Hang Massive now play around the world in Europe, Russia, India, Australia, New Zealand and beyond; they are building on their already well established reputation as producers of great records, as an incredible live act…
…WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE THEM VISIT US HERE IN BOURNEMOUTH!
And as if that wasn’t enough – in support we have the incredibly talented vocal performance artist
Alexandra Gabriel – wow! What an evening of high spirits to share…

About Alexandra Gabriel
Alexandra Gabriel started her musical training at a young age as a chorister in Exeter Cathedral. An accomplished singer, cellist and pianist she won the ABRSM scholarship to fund her Operatic studies at the Royal Northern College of Music where her Mezzo-Soprano voice has been in demand for many performances. More notable amongst which are alongside Andrea Bocelli on BBC’s Children in Need and with Katherine Jenkins on Song’s of Praise. Upon completing her traditional music training Alexandra stepped away from the world of Opera to find a way to express her own unique sound.
Now working as a channeller, healer and award winning musician, her two albums ‘Unconditional’ and ‘Voices of the Goddess’ were both placed in the top 20 conscious music album awards in their years of release 2015 and 2017. In 2017 Alexandra was invited to speak about her experiences with music and the emotional body at a TEDx conference in London. This year she was honoured as Spirit and Destiny Magazine’s ‘Rising Star’. Alexandra feels a deep spiritual connection through music, having been open psychically from childhood and now works to help others transform their lives through the power of sound. The music she writes and performs helps those it touches to find a place of stillness, surrender in the heart and healing in an ever changing world.
